An AutPlay therapist works on the principle that no single approach can treat all clients who are faced with neurodevelopmental difficulties. Therefore, therapeutic techniques must be tailored to suit a client’s individual needs. AutPlay therapy is a combination of behavioural and developmental methodology, implementing a treatment that is both practitioner and parent led. This allows for the therapeutic process to be matched with the needs of the client and not the other way around.
Dr Garry Landreth
The AutPlay therapy approach targets emotional regulation, social functioning, relationship connection and behaviour issues, helping to increase skill acquisition in these areas.
We believe that the most effective model requires the therapist to be nonjudgemental, interpersonal and intent on establishing a supportive and cooperative relationship with the young person.

"I cannot thank you enough. IntraQuest you have given myself and my children the support we needed when we were facing such a challenging time. We loved coming to your centre, feeding the animals and taking in the most breathtaking views. Thank you."
It is flexible and focuses on the young person and those around them. The integration of different approaches means that therapy can be tailored to meet a variety of needs and concerns. As AutPlay therapy is influenced by both behavioural methods and relational methods, it can be applied as a comprehensive approach to treatment, which can help to support the wide-ranging needs of the child.
AutPlay therapy will require the child to invest their time in attending sessions consistently, it is not a quick fix and can take time to build up trust between all parties. The length of therapy depends on the individual’s ability to engage, the goals set and the types of issues that are being addressed. The methods used may require the involvement and support of other family members within the process, and will be wholly dependent on the child’s needs and their capacity to engage and participate in a meaningful way.
The time and place of the sessions will stay the same each week. This will be decided upon by the therapist and school (if applicable).
Sessions will last up to 45 minutes each week, uninterrupted.
